Hi guys I moving to Montreal soon and wanted to get some local knowledge of what size of kites ppl are riding in Quebec I’m coming from Squamish BC where the wind is between 15 - 25 knots most kiteable days. I’m 175lbs and have a 12m switchblade and a 9m FX with a 140 twin tip, 3 years experience What is the wind like in Mtl in knots? What size of kites are most ppl riding on? What kind of boards are most common? (twintip, surf, foil) Do many ppl ride with low wind kites? And also favourite summer spot and favourite winter spot Thanks in advance for all the info Hope to see and meet some of you out on the water soon! Lennon All comments |

Hi Lennon! Welcome to gusty wind city! Prime time is spring, autumn and winter! Summer is lightwind time Your quiver seems to be correct for our wind conditions! You can ride everything from tt, surfboard (Lake Champlain and Sandbank Ontario are the best nearby Mtl) or foil. In a circle of 1-1/2 hrs drive, you can find plenty kitespot from beginners super crowed to advance. ![]() ![]() You can check on Facebook group “the guide to kiting to and around Montréal” https://www.facebook.com/groups/112262806239352/?ref=share Airush Sessions 5m/ Sessions 7m/ Ultra 9m/ Ultra 12m
