Hey guys, I'm currently looking at these two kites at 10m and 9m respectively. I used a '08 waroo 9m last season (my first) on snow and found that while at times it was a bit lacking in the bottom end, it had enough range for my needs and I got very comfortable with it about half way through the season. I found the turning a bit too slow for kite-looping through the turns. I am looking at these two kites and know that they are both more performance kites and am wondering if i would be biting off more than i can chew with these kites? from what i read the OR is very smooth in the air and has excellent depower plus it is a much newer kite so i am leaning towards it, however it is the bigger of the two..Would appreciate any thoughts on which is more suitable or neither (i don't mind a kite a can grow into a bit though as this kite should last me a while! ![]() Cheers, Tom |

wind a écrit Hi Tom; Havent tried the OR but I have flown all the kites from Best since 2008 so I know them pretty well, Waroos, Nemesis, Kahoona, Bularoos etc... the Nemesis is one of the kite that has the most boost (lift) on the market. It will really rip you off the water if you crank it. On the other hand it is a very smooth kite. The bar pressure is really light. The kite is really fast but the kiteloops are not agressive. It will loop fast but it wont generate too much power. The low end is very good and the top end is amazing. The newer nemesis (2012 V3) handle the gust a lot better than the older ones : 2008-2009. It is a great kite for Old school tricks, boosting big air, could also be pretty good for racing as the upwind performance is also amazing due to the really thin LE. The nemesis is really a great kite. Lots of Fun. Check this clip of the 10m V3 : /> PS: I have a brand new 2012 Nemesis 10m V3 that I am selling. If you ever want to try it; come in three rivers and I'll let you ride it for a while. ps2 : There has also been the 2010 nemesis NXG but it has never been a real nemesis, it was a trial and they dropped it after a year. Same thing as the waroo delta that same year. Jules |

wind a écrit Well it's not that it was so bad more than it wasn't the nemesis that people expected. that pretty much sums it up: Quote: No 2010 Nemesis, that was the NXG, no Nemi in 2010. ____ I am sick of people saying the Nemesis NXG is not a Nemesis. It says Nemesis right on the wing tip! Sorry that Best messed it up that year and went a different route with the Nemesis and Waroo but the fanboys and Best need to call it what it is. ![]() ![]() The reviews were actually pretty good (in the magazines ![]() Some people really like them though, they need to be really powered as they are not very powerful, they have a lot less grunt than the HP and they also have less higher end. They were better for unhooking and wakestyle. Try it you might like it. |
